October 30, 2015 Leave a Comment

Title: Slider
Series: The Core Four Series #2
Author: Stacy Borel
Genre: NA Romance
Published: September 21, 2015

Dr. Turner Brooks may be the professional brother, but he’s also the adrenaline junkie. When he meets Annabelle, a girl scared to death of veering from the path she’s paved for herself, all he wants to do is push her out of that comfort zone.

Annabelle has already lost too much. She wants to stay focused on her new nursing job and away from unnecessary risks. Turner Brooks is exactly that – an unnecessary risk. She’s heard the rumors about him flying around the hospital, describing him as a “womanizer” or “sex god.” Yeah, she doesn’t need that.
Still, Turner tries to teach her that life is full of risks worth taking. As they grow closer and she begins to let go, the unexpected happens.
Will they be able to recover from that surprising fastball or could this be the final strike out?

**This book can be read as a stand alone**

I am a huge Stacy Borel fan, and I was highly anticipating the arrival of this book. I fell in love with Stacy’s writing all the way back to her first novel, Ever Enough.  Touching Scars, has left an permanent impression on my soul.  Bender, was when she introduced me to Dodger Brooks, aka the man of my dreams, and I will never be able to thank her enough for that.  Slider may have taken a bit to get in our hot little hands, but I’ll tell you it was well worth the wait!!

You can’t help but connect with Turner and Annabelle.  Turner like all the Brooks brothers, is very much a alpha lady’s man.  he has no fear, always searching for that next adrenaline rush, and he never would have thought the biggest rush of all would be found in love. Even though Annabelle is the opposite of Turner in every way, they couldn’t be more perfect for each other.  She is the Ying to his Yang.

I absolutely devoured this book in one sitting.  You won’t be able to put it down.  Once Turner gets ahold of you, hang on, because your in for an emotional, and exciting ride.  Your mind will be pushed to its limits.  I cannot wait for the next installment of the Core Four series!!!  DODGER IS COMING!!!  Just so that you all
know, I loved him first (If you don’t believe me, ask Stacy, she’ll confirm this!!!  😉 ) I can’t stress enough….if you haven’t picked up your copy of Slider by Stacy Borel yet….GET ON IT…NOW!!!  You won’t be sorry 🙂
