WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS STAYS IN VEGAS. BUT WHAT DIDN’T HAPPEN IN VEGAS SEEMS TO FOLLOW THEM EVERYWHERE—Book Three in the sexy, fun New York Times bestselling Wild Seasons series that began with Sweet Filthy Boy (the Romantic Times Book of the Year) and Dirty Rowdy Thing.Lola and Oliver like to congratulate themselves on having the good sense not to consummate their drunken Las Vegas marriage. If they’d doubled-down on that mistake, their Just Friends situation might not be half as great as it is now. …Or so goes the official line. In reality, Lola’s wanted Oliver since day one—and over time has only fallen harder for his sexy Aussie accent and easygoing ability to take her as she comes. More at home in her studio than in baring herself to people, Lola’s instinctive comfort around Oliver nearly seems too good to be true. So why ruin a good thing? Even as geek girls fawn over him, Oliver can’t get his mind off what he didn’t do with Lola when he had the chance. He knows what he wants with her now…and it’s far outside the friend zone. When Lola’s graphic novel starts getting national acclaim—and is then fast-tracked for a major motion picture—Oliver steps up to be there for her whenever she needs him. After all, she’s not the kind of girl who likes all that attention, but maybe she’s the kind who’ll eventually like him. Sometimes seeing what’s right in front of us takes a great leap of faith. And sometimes a dark wild night in Vegas isn’t just the end of a day, but the beginning of a bright new life…
OMG do I love Christina Lauren and The Wild Seasons Series!! In the third installment, Dark Wild Night, the story follows Lola and Oliver. It always seems to go “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”. Well in this case its more like what DIDNT happen in Vegas, doesn’t seem to stay in Vegas. They end up with not only an annulled marriage, but a great friendship. However, not everything is alway as it seems.
Lola has always had a thing for Oliver. I mean come on, who doesn’t?? He is the perfect man wrapped in an sultry Aussie package. And staying in the “friend zone” seems to be a lot hard than it seems. Especially when it isn’t what she truly wants!
But what she doesn’t know, is that neither does Oliver.
Oliver can’t seem to get over what a dumb move it was NOT to go with the flow, and let sexy time happen between him and Lola in Vegas. But now that he has been “friend zoned”, he is pretty much screwed. Once Lola’s graphic novel starts to take off, and get national recognition, Oliver offers to help out in whatever capacity she needs him too. Hoping beyond hope, that she will want him as more than a friend along the way.
Both afraid to risk their great friendship, for a romantic one that may or may not work out, has them both scared to push the limits.
The two authors that make up Christina Lauren, amaze me time after time with their great stories and fabulous writing. The characters are always so connectable, and easy to relate to. They have depth, and strong presences. I absolute love what they have done with this series and Dark Wild Night. I couldn’t put the book down. I couldn’t get enough. They have grown as authors and I just can’t seem to get enough!!!! Thank you so much to the publishers for the opportunity to read this marvelous book early!
